Vocal Communication

Very little work has been done on this. The only sound mentioned in any of the references is the high-pitched squealing that accompanies fights.

Non-Vocal Communication

A few spraint heaps have been found, at the prominent rocks called "Comaderos" (dining rooms). Since scent-marking and fighting both take place there, these are probably serving the same purpose as normal otter spraint sites, though these otters appear to prefer to defaecate in caves.
