Old Friends now sadly gone across the Rainbow Bridge

Spider and Posy, two small-claw twins, who would squeal for food and rub their paws together like little Victorian Begger-Otters.  Spider loved ice - he would prise sheets of ice up from the ground and sit up, holding the ice under his arm and nibbling the top edge.  Gradually the ice would slip down and he would try to hold onto it until he fell over backwards!  Posy had a growth on her paw which was periodically removed - when she thought it might get her attention, she would chew her paw. Digby the Fox, who was hand-reared and would walk on a harness and lead.  He was born in 1995, and sadly died in 2001. Digby sleeping in the manger
Sparky and Sixpence.  Sparky was Chip's brother, and Sixpence was one of the Heaps' hand-reared cubs.  When Chip was accused of biting Sparky and they were sent to the Chestnut Centre and split up, Sparky and Sixpence (at age 16) fell in love and had a cub. Sparky and Sixpence both died within weeks of each other in May 2004. SparkySixpence
