The otters have been observed at Cameron Park Lake for a number of weeks, according to a report in the Mountain Democrat. No one seems to know how the otters ended up in the lake, although the creatures are known to live in lakes, streams, rivers and the ocean.

As interesting as the otters may be to watch, lake management is concerned about kids going in the lake with the otters there. The otters, which are believed to be a mom, dad and their two pups, could become territorial.
