MOSS LANDING, Calif. - The Otter Project's annual report was released on Tuesday and said California sea otters along Monterey Bay are doing well. While the group was hesitant to say whether or not the population was growing, prepresentatives told Action News that the furry critters are certainly holding their own.

The report showed that there are more than 3,000 otters in the area, up 12 percent from 2006, according to researchers.

However, researchers stressed that the California sea otter is still listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.
